Octocon 2010

Geeks Go Gaming

So this Sunday is the second meeting of the Geeks Go Gaming Group, which meet on the first Sunday of each month in the Central Hotel's Library Bar.

We will be there, and will be accepting memberships and playing games. We might even have a conversation or two about books or movies!

The action starts at 2pm, and should continue 'til at least 5pm.

New Guest: Hilary Lawler

The eccentricly-styled cartoonist, Hilary Lawler (creator of Superhilbo!) has agreed to join us at Octocon this year! Woohoo! :)

Hilary is a founder of Longstone Comics, a collective comprised of local comic  creators, as well a contributor to their anthology of the same name.

Brian J. Showers & Albedo One Join Us!

Aren't you the lucky ones! We have a couple of new guest announcements today. The team from Albedo One, Ireland premier short science fiction magazine, and the ever-mythical Brian J. Showers, author of Gothic Dublin and The Bleeding Horse, will be joining us for discussions and workshops throughout the weekend.
