Octocon loves gaming! This year, thanks to some valued volunteers, we’re running games in person and online.
We also celebrate the return of our charity table quiz on Saturday evening – and this year, it’s followed by a karaoke session sponsored by the Dublin 2029 Worldcon bid.

Play D.A.M.N.I.T.

In D.A.M.N.I.T. (Dwarven Assault Mining Neutralization and Interception Team) you play special forces Dwarves in space, a rapid reaction force deployed to protect people (though mainly dwarves) from pirates, beasties and other threats on the galactic fringe. Brought to you by the minds behind Pew Pew, Cocaine Owlbear and other assorted silliness.
Maximum of 5 players using pregenerated characters. Sign up online by 10pm Friday 1st October (link available on Sunday 27th September) or check at the info desk on Saturday morning to find out if there are still spaces available.

Here we go again for another table quiz to raise money for our chosen charity – this year, it’s Cork Penny Dinners! Come and test your knowledge on all things science fiction, fantasy and horror, books, TV, film and comics in the Octocon Table Quiz, and maybe even win a prize*.
Teams of 4(ish); €5 per team member as a donation to Octocon’s chosen charity.
Sign up in advance at the info desk, or just show up with your teammates. Note that space is limited so you might end up sharing a table with other teams.
* Prizes are presented per team (and are based on teams of 4); there’s no guarantee on the quality or quantity of prizes.
